Description

The ultimate Blanket Doubt experience. This limited edition light green cassette is a dedicated analog companion to the Blanket Doubt project. These raw recordings are designed to capture the unpolished, raw emotion of Blanket Doubt as it was recorded in 2016 and preserved on analog for the first time.

Unlike the polished digital masters, these cassettes have been dubbed to embrace the unpredictable "Analog Drift" of the medium. Expect a raw, lo-fi listening experience with the natural pitch-fluctuations and textures inherent to found-footage recordings.

This expanded release features a series of exclusive, never-before-heard demos. These raw recordings offer a rare glimpse into the evolution of Laeter's sound.

Pro-Tip for the best analog experience: As these are freshly dubbed tapes, we recommend fast-forwarding and rewinding the cassette fully once or twice before your first listen. This 'seats' the tape and ensures the most stable speed and audio quality.

Light Green Shell in a Clear Norelco Case.

Double-sided J-card with 2 extra inlays for expanded artwork/lyrics.

Professionally Shrink-wrapped.

Laeter’s project, 'Blanket Doubt,' is a deep dive into anti-intellectualism, conceptually inspired by the book The Canticle of Leibowitz. The project tackles themes of past inner turmoil and escapism. Themes that are arguably more prevalent now than when the first recordings were originally captured in 2016.
